Guest guest Posted August 11, 2011 Report Share Posted August 11, 2011 We are an outpatient private practice and have successfully dealt with patients transitions from home health to our clinic for a number of years. Traditionally, we ask all new patients if they have been receiving home health and if so, call the home health provider to make sure there has been a discharge. We have been having a significant problem with one provider in our area telling us they have done/are going to do one thing and then actually doing another. It seems like I have heard that a provider can access Medicare's Common Working File to see claim status for a patient. How are providers accessing this common working file? Thanks for your help.
