Guest guest
Hi Kate! You poor thing! No wonder you are so beat! You did so much today. Well, i think this was yesterday or the day before. How are you now? I hope better! I do not drive anymore.Havnt for at least a yr.I use to love hopping in the car with the kids and going to the park or jus for a drive.I now depend on Rene or mom to get me places and run all the errands.Pays school is jus up the street, maybe 7 mins.I remember 1 day she had a blister from her shoes and called me.I had to call my mom to drive all the wayhere get the shoes and take them to the office.I was devastated, balling my eyes out and felt so worthless. It was hard on all of us and still is sometimes but for the most part we are all use to it and have adjusted.Your fam will too. It may take a wile but they will.It will probly be harder on you in the long run.Maybe you can pick a few days a wk were you do not drive and they can make arrangements in advance?Just a thought.Plus you can have rest for a whole day at a time. You realy need it. luv ya! cassy re:fatigue Hi group. I wanted to thank Bruce, Trista, Sharon, Tammy, n, Cassy, and all you many others that voiced in on this topic. I am scared I'm going to crash my car one of these days, so I'm thinking I should either arrange for kids to get rides and/or get on something; some med to help with the fatigue. Just when I thought my day was coming to a close, my 16 yr old, who doesn't have her permit yet, called for me to pick her up from school and bring her down about 20 minutes away for an interview. This is my dtr who won the art contest and they were interviewing the 1st, 2nd (her) and 3rd place winners. So, I dropped her off, feeling real tired on the way. Then I zipped back up north to pick up my 8 yr old who didn't want to take the bus home today (I should have told him, tough!), but I didn't ...As soon as I got home with him, the 16 yr old called ready to be picked back up!!! I am so sorry to vent like this, but driving is such an every day part of my life, I don't know how one functions without it. I'm afraid I'm going to have to find out, and soon! How do I explain to my kids; how do I get them from place to place? MS really stinks, and infiltrates into so many aspects of our lives. Now I should be cleaning up from dinner, but I'm so beat. love to you all, kate
Guest guest
Hey Cassy. You are so sweet--always! Everyday, even those days when I don't feel like I've done hardly anything- I still feel wiped! But I think that describes us all! And just the stress of things really weighs down on us as well. Not just 'physical doing', but emotional/mental things as well. My kids fighting wears me out, and problems the boys are having academically at school also trouble and worry me. My 14 yr old wants to move out of the house, and in with a friend of his, so he can go to school at his friend's school. He has one or 2 friends only in our town; he gets teased alot because of his weight--he is about 20 lbs over and we are working on it, but he hasn't, at just 14, hit puberty yet; doc thinks he might 'grow into his weight' as his height moves up...now I'm in babbling mode...sorry. Going out in a bit tonight to go see my dtr;s artwork that won her 2nd place. love to you Cassy and all on list, kate
