I joined a few lists this week, so please excuse this if you see it more than once :)

I am 36, and was recently diagnosed low level type II diabetes. I am trying the low carb woe as a way of controlling this, before it controls me - and, to lose weight. I *know* I have a carb addiction. I have been going 5 days, and aim to keep my carbs under 20.

I tried on my jeans today - they were tighter ??? Is this normal? Yes, lots (lots!) of water and no hidden carbs, had the headache-flu-yukky symptoms for 1-2 days, and did the urinanalyis each day - pinky purple.

Anyway, this is the introductory blurb combined with a moan, and I am hoping to glean from others knowledge and advice over the months.
