Guest guest
We received a letter this week that OrthoNet will be doing the management for Humana for outpatient therapy services. OrthoNet is a new company to our area and I am curious to hear feedback from the group about them. Have any of you had any experience with this company? Thanks for your input. Guest guest
We have used Orthonet for our Cigna, Oxford, and Healthnet carriers for some time. Unfortunately, while they deny very little requests, they only approve about 5 visits each time (even when you have orders for anywhere from 8-12 visits, and the dx and POC supports - i.e. TKA). You still have to submit objective data every 5 visits or less, depending on what they deem fit to provide you. It's a lot of paperwork/faxing but not much issues with denial of authorizations. They usually only authorize one dx at a time, as well; though they have been known to give us separate authorizations for PT and OT when provided simultaneously for two separate dx. Good Luck!
