Guest guest
Vinod: This is what I do for continuing education: $3,000/year - combination of coursework and travel accommodations. 5 days/year paid administrative leave. This comes in handy for encouraging things like CSM, PT2008, or Preview 2020. Otherwise, most courses are weekends only. Hope this helps. B. Guest guest
All of our PT/OT clients offer some form of CEU allowance, ranging from $1500 to $2500 per year, which includes the cost of the course, travel expense and meals. The course must be approved by the clinic owner in order for the PT/OT to be paid for missed work hours. If not an approved course, the PT/OT does not get paid for missed work hours and has the option to take this time as paid vacation or unpaid vacation. If the course is approved and held over the weekend, the PT/OT takes off the day before the course or after the course. Additionally, many of our more progressive PT/OT clients are now requiring that their PTs/OTs attend at least one coding/billing/compliance related CEU course per year. Hope this helps. Vickie D. If applicable to our setting, I give the day of the course as if they worked; if a 2 day weekend course, I'll give them one day on either side of the w/e as a day off.
