Guest guest
We are a small private practice and are looking at electronic medical records systems. Can anyone comment on either PT Advantage or Medaept? Sorry if this question has already appeared on this list serve and I missed the discussion. Guest guest
We really like the PT Advantage. We use it for the whole office front to back. The Medical Records are pretty easy to use, and the real nice thing is they are easy to customize. I don't know if they just sell the Medical Records by themselves, or if they only offer it with the billing & scheduling. I give it a thumbs up, notes are easy and quick. Definately do your own due diligence. J Briggs, PT PTINLA1@... Guest guest
Jeannie; We had a horrible experience with PT Advantage. Long story short; we paid them their full fee and they were unable to deliver what they had promised. Their software did not work and they left us unable to bill for six months until I bailed out and went back to our old system. They refused to refund. To this day they are enjoying my investment. In my opinion - not a good company and if asked I would say " run far away " . I know of another PT practice that suffered the same fate. With that said, billing and EMR is complicated and each company has its quirks and issues. Jim Briggs frequently posts how pleased he is with PT Advantage and I can't reconcile his experience with mine. Our current software vendor has done some pretty incompetent things which have cost my practice considerable money however, the product is working. To put it bluntly - software salesmen lie. I have encouraged people in the past to check out other similar practices in their state to see what they are using. Posting on line is one thing, listening to a sales guy is another but going to other practices and talking with them will give you a much better understanding.
