Guest guest
: Â There are many courses out there. I'd first explore You Tube and watch all the therapists out there demonstrating their techniques. That, at least will give you an idea of what's going on. It's not terribly intricate a technique. Guest guest
Hi , I would second the recommendation to " google it " , there are some pretty nice videos on youtube for just about every kinesio application. I also bought the book from OPTP which does a pretty good job of teaching the theory. Guest guest
Carol, It really isn't a subject for a poll to determine on how to code the expense. Kinesiotape just like lymphedema supplies are included in the expense component of the CPT codes. If you use the supply as part of a treatment then you charge for the time of application in the code of the treatment. If the supply is only for home use then it may be permissible to charge for the supply. Some on this list may say they charge for supplies but they are playing Russian roulette with a losing side of an audit! We may not agree with the rules so we should work to change the rules not Break the rules. Mulvey Ft Myers Sent from my iPhone > Just taking a poll..Is everyone who is using Kinesiotape with their outpatients, providing it as part of the treatment expense and eating the supply cost, or after they have assessed need, are they expecting patients to pick up the cost of it by purchasing it on their own, similar to Lymphedema management bandaging and / or wound care dressings, etc.? > > > > Carol Rehder, PT > Manager, Physical Therapy & Day Rehabilitation > Genesis Medical Center > > rehder@genesis@... > > > NOTICE: This communication is intended only for the use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed and may contain information that is privileged, confidential and exempt from disclosure under applicable law.
