Billing for physical therapist assistant's services

Dear Group,

I am in southern California in Palmetto GBA's j1 part B jurisdiction. I searched

the CMS website and Palmetto's for a precise answer but came up with nothing.

Please help if you know the answer to the question.

Let's say a licensed PTA sees a patient (direct contact for 30min and the

supervising PT sees that patient for and additional 15 min (direct contact)on

the same day. In this scenario, do I have 45 min of billable time under the PT's

NPI and medicare number(PTAN)?

Or is it 15 min of billable time since the PT saw the patient for 15 min only?
