This is the kind of thing where I utterly agree antipsychotic

medications are completely appropriate.

BTW, did you try antiseizure medications like Tegretol or Depakote,

and did you try hydrogenated fat exclusion?

Then you will never chelate. You need to find a doc who understands

heavy metal tox enough to realize it is the heavy metal problem that

prevents the body from controlling the gut bugs, and they can't be

gotten under control for any reasonable period of time without

addressing the heavy metals. Or you need to make your own decisiosn

about what to do. . . .. . . . . . .

>No, We considered a trial of Depakote, but none of his drs would

prescribe it as they said it wasn't warranted as both his EEG's were

clean. We have never tried hydrogenated fat exclusion because quite

frankly this is a child with severe food allergies and his intake is

limited to only a few foods. I only cook with soy free margarine with

him or once in a while coconut butter.

We are actually working with a wonderful GI who is very knowlegable and

open and has tried to get the gut issues under control so that we can

chelate. He spoke at the last DAN conference and it was said there by

Dr. Holmes that until you can control the gut, you shouldnt chelate so we

have been working hard on it. We just completed a 2 month trial of

vancomycin.
