Guest guest
We have a 22 bed IRF, 6 bed IRF, and 8 bed IRF, all of which provide recreational therapy. Of these units, only the larger unit (affiliated with a medical school and a neuropsychology residency program) offers neuropsychology services. The 22 bed unit has 1 RT, full time, primary duties are patient care - some 1:1 sessions and daily groups, weekly community outing (most weeks), they attend team conference, productivity expectations similar to other therapies though not closely monitored, and additional duties related to preparing for weekend and after hour leisure activities set up. The two smaller units have part time RT with similar expectations. Hope that helps! feel free to email me directly if you have additional questions. kvvollba@... Guest guest
See below: How many RTs do you have? 2 for 22-bed unit, ADC 18. > What is their work schedule? Both work five 5-hr days > What are their job duties? Patient care, community outings. > Do they attend Team Conference? Yes. > What is their workload expectation? The productivity expectations are based on the number of patients, since their service is not counted towards the 3-hour rule. > Percentage of time providing group therapy versus one on one RT? 25%/75% (estimate) > How often are they taking patients on community outings? At least weekly. > > > How many Psychologists to do you have? 2, both of whom see outpatients separately. > Are they on staff or are they contracted staff? One on staff (but doesn't report to me), one contracted (ditto). > What is their work schedule? Depends on their number of consults, the employee works 5 days per week but the majority of it is OP. The contractor three mornings a week, mostly in the IRF. > What are their job duties? Not sure how to answer except to say " typical of any other similar facility I've worked at. " We have alot of TBI patients, so they complete assessments, work with the team to develop patient-specific plans, and also see the occasional patients who are depressed or grieving their loss of independence. > Do they attend Team Conference? Occasionally, mainly if there are issues about a patient they see. They don't attend to find out if they should take on patients. > What is their workload expectation? They don't report to me, so I can't say. > Percentage of time proving group therapy versus one on one Psych? I believe they almost exclusively do 1:1. > What kind of documentation tools do they use? I'd have to ask them. I hear them referenced but I'm not involved in much direct care. > Do they bill Health and Behavior CPT Codes? Good question--I'd have to check on it. I'm at home cleaning out e-mails so I don't have that at my fingertips, either.
