I read the new UHC Bulletin and it stated faxes to them needed to contain a statement that said " This fax line is used to send and receive patient private health information; it is a secure fax line and meets both federal and state patient privacy guidelines " I have had a cover letter for faxes that had what I thought to be accurate information. I did a brief search and found what I had to be more detail that most cover letter I have seen. I feel my wording is correct and added this line above to it. I am not finding the information I need to answer my question. What is a secure fax and is the definition different in Michigan?
