Guest guest
We are a private practice in a rural setting. Recently, a large Healthcare company moved into the area and took over the hospital and area physician clinics. Now, we are having patients tell us that they are not being given the option as to where they can receive their therapy services. Also, when a patient requests to see us, they are being told that they can not leave the " system " . However, our facility is fully credentialed with all insurances including this " systems " insurance plans. What is the legality as far as: 1. Are physicians required to give patients their options on where they can receive therapy services? 2. If a patient requests to have therapy somewhere else, is the physician obligated to respect the wishes of that patient? Thank you,
