Guest guest
I can hardly believe today! First, I had to get up at 6 am to bring my 8 yr old to ice hockey, for tryouts--that is a 9 mile drive; the tryouts were an hour, plus an additional 1/2 hour for putting on and off all the gear...additionally... We have had rain for the last few days, and today it rained something like 2 to 4 inches! My oldest dtr, Kara, came home from college yesterday. I drove her through the torrents to the airport; about 40 miles away--in Long Island. Her flight to Myrtle Beach, SC to go visit my in-laws was to be at 11:45am.... you got it--it was delayed til 6:15, but I had left her at the airport....she was fine staying there. But then...she called me back--all flights were cancelled--the fog was so dense, the rain so severe...so had to drive back through the monsoon to go and get her. Now I need to bring her again for a 6:29pm flight out tomorrow evening--the only flight out of 5 being offered tomorrow left....hey everyone--don't forget to 'spring' your clocks ahead tonight before bedtime! love to all, kate We can only be said to be alive in those momentswhen our hearts are conscious of our treasures.~Thornton Wilder
