Guest guest
In 1995, I published a " cute " little workbook called * " Imroving Productivity WITHOUT Sacrificing Quality " *as part of my consulting business. It was a very simple format and design-wise quite unattractive. 150ish pages of forms and self assessments to help PTManagers work through some of the tough parts of monitoring and managing productivity with their staff. Since all PTs were programmed to hate any mention of the word productivity and all were convinced that any attempt to improved productivity would automatically destroy all issues of quality, it sold like hotcakes. And I spent the next decade working with PT practice owners and department directors helping them address the critical issue of productivity with their staff. About a month ago, we released to the public domain [under a Creative Commons license] a rough video of The Productive Therapist presentation. I am still working to clean that video up for re-release [hopefully sometime this Spring] but now I am releasing a very minor revision of the workbook - Improving Productivity WITHOUT Sacrificing Quality - as a PDF. Free for you to use. Just don't sell it to others and be sure to credit/reference it appropriately. The Workbook is at PTManagerBlog<http://ptmanager.posterous.com/improving-productivity-without-sacr\ ificing-qu>as a PDF - all 150 ugly pages of it. I purposely did not clean it up alot or make it look more modern as that has always been part of its " charm " . Please feel free to use it in your practice. I hope you enjoy it. Please feel free to critique, comment, criticize and suggest improvements. But remember, only the author (me) can call it ugly. Enjoy *BTW, be patient if it takes a little while to download* *It is 150 pages and I'm told that ugly documents are slower on the internet.* Kovacek, PT, DPT, MSA PKovacek@... Guest guest
, I still have an " original " copy of the book - when you came to Tampa back then and did a workshop for me! Still " cute " after all these years. J.
