That is the whole reason I applied for SSDisability. I don't think I

could get it but I thought it would help with the insurance battle.

Hi y'all!

I'm shakin in my boots....I FINALLY set down and typed out my patient

info last noc and just heard from Dr. R that he sent in aproval request from my

insurance co. Whew...the anxiety about the ins. is crazy! I wonder what will

happen and guess I need to prepare and wait calmly since I know it can take a

year...or so.... I had 2 sleep studies done in Dec. 98 and they still haven't

decided on paying that but that was mainly due to the clinic I used. But I am

looking at a $4,600 bill anyway :( Oh well, just feelin' a little

anxious...like I'm back in school and not prepared for an exam or

presentation.....AAUUGH! ;-) A

Kathy, Thanks for the info on the Saturday meetings. I had no idea that Dr.

R held those and that anybody could go. You're great to keep up informed.

Now Dr. R. has us wait two weeks from the surgery before starting the

vitamins. The only thing we take right away is the zantac.

Dr R requires vitamins for the rest of your life. He recommends two

Women's Ultra Mega from GNC--2 tablets 3 times a day (too much for me)

or

One Source from Walmart--1 tablet 3 times a day (this is what I use and I

find it easy to manage)

You get vitamins through the IV in the hospital, but Dr R wants you to wait 2

weeks before you take the pills at home. Give your stomach a chance to heal

before subjecting it to those horse pills

When I was in the hospital they gave me them there... being the first

patient at Durham Regional, it was an experience. All my meds were given to

me either in pill or capsule form also....

Things have changed.... Immediately after my surgery my greatest concern was

how am I too swallow these pills. I am glad he decided to go IV with so many

things. As for vitamins, I use the Centrum and currently take three a day.

I was having problems with constent coldness... just could never warm up.

Dr. R suggest increasing to three and it helped.
