Marketing fax blasts to physicians?

Does anyone still send marketing-oriented faxes to physician offices that refer

to them? Fax is an easy way to send information, but could possibly be looked on

negatively for costing the receiver money (ink and paper). Almost all states

have a clause to exclude existing business relationships from paying penalties

for " fax blasts " , according to what I've read. It appears, however, that sending

faxes to physicians that you do not have existing business relationships with

may be considered illegal.

Just wondering.
