Inpatient weekend scheduling

We are a hospital based outpatient physical therapy clinic that also

see patients in our 50 bed hospital both acute and SNF. Currently we

only see inpatients on the weekend for one visit. Then the therapist

will take time off during the week to compensate for their weekend

time. The problem we are beginning to have is extended stays and

increased caseload stretching our staff thin. Does anyone have any

suggestions or examples of how they work their weekend inpatient

rotation.
