Guest guest
I also own my own billing service for 13 years. My opinion is this is OUR cost of doing business NOT yours. Changes in our industry require ICD10 updates and capability. Is your access changing or your capabilities through the systems such as scheduling your previous might not have had? I would also refer to your contract. Maybe there are additional services they are charging you for that you do not want. I personally am also going through upgrades but at my cost. There are additional benefits to the provider but its their choice to use them and therefore pay for them. Jackie Zube, CMRS The Billing Office, Inc. The benefits of the upgrade seem minimal to me although it will include ICD-10 updates. The cost of this (almost $1500) the billing service is wanting to pass fully through to my PT clinic. Is this a normal / standard cost to pass on to a clinic? We currently pay 6% of collected insurance revenues to the billing service and 2% of copays. Your thoughts? Thanks!!
