Guest guest
Dear List, I have a pediatric OT client that evaluated a child who was referred to her by an MD for inability to write. Once the evaluation was completed, the therapist could not find the problem causing the child not to be able to write. She ruled out all the probable causes. What ICD-9 code would you use for this child? I sincerely appreciate your feedback. D. Guest guest
Hi , Based on the limited information provided you have a couple of options for an ICD-9 code. The best fit would probably be 781.3 Lack of Coordination (Dysgraphia falls under this ICD-9 code). Another option is 783.40 Lack of Normal Physiological Development in Childhood, Unspecified or 783.42 Delayed Milestones. Hope this helps!
