Guest guest
Usually, I kick out a fantasy of mine about what our group is about, and send it flying off to all of us after a large number of new members have joined. First, there was the infamous cruise ship, SSMS, which sailed through the Caribbean, and later past Alaska, with total freedom from MS signs and symptoms, superb food, fantastic deckchair service, elaborate banquet in honor of our founder and Fearless Leader, Sharon and of her daughter, Challis, who co-moderates Our Gang here. Then I think I had a train ride fantasy and a few others. I am running out of ideas for the moment. I was just sitting here staring into my friendly computer, Herkimer II, when my friend, Edna, wMS phoned me. She pointed out that oddly enough our two MS-ridden brains seem to become so very creative when working together, yet we each fall apart when left to our own wicked " Many Surprises " devices. She said that she not only has periods of forgetfulness, but also has what she called " Flurries of Forgetfulness, " or as she alsos suggested, " the Phlurry Phenomenon, " in which one babbles on mindlessly in order to get all that one can think of out before one forgets it all. This is embarrassingly accurate in my case, and in hers. But, the point to all this mindless reminiscing on my part is really just this: To welcome all of our newcomers to Our Multiply Surprised Gang, and to thank you for having found us, and once having read some of our posts, to have dared to take the leap. It's o.k.; we will all be ready to catch you! Love to each of you, new members, members of longer standing, old-timers, wherever you are. n, the truly dense; my MRIs prove it--70 wMS, diagnosed when I was
