We have been using Spectra Soft Appointments Pro for a number of years to

schedule PT, OT, Speech, Respiratory, psychology, radiology etc. It has worked

quite well and allows us to communicate and view appointments throughout

multiple points in our system. We are a large hospital system with acute care,

inpatient rehab hospital, OP sites, physician offices, OP surgery etc. Any

system requires extensive set up and I believe that determines your success.

I do believe that Spectra Soft was recently purchased by MediServe, an

electronic documentatiion specialist group, and do not know what effect, if any,

that will have on the product.

We have been using McKesson for the last few years. It works well for what we

need it for. Can customize it a lot. But, we are moving to computerized

documentation, and McKesson does not interface with Cerner, so we will be

getting rid of McKesson so we can have our documentation tied to our schedule.
