Guest guest
Hi, are there any hospital based outpt. facilities giving out heel lifts and billing for them and using an L code? How is your success with reimbursement? Jerilyn Inmon, LPT Supervisor of Physical Therapy Fisher-Titus Medical Center jinmon@... Guest guest
We are a hospital based outpatient facility, but we are not a DME so we are unable to bill Medicare for supplies. Our hospital requests that we bill all providers the same. So the rules of Medicare are what we use for all insurances. Our compliance folks feel that the risk is too high of incorrect billing, so we follow the most stringent rules for all. Long and short to your question, we do not bill for supplies..the supplies we use, the cost is rolled into the price of service, though this does not mean we are reimbursed for that cost Casey Gershon Manager of Rehabilitation Services Bronson Rehabilitation Services (269)341-6392 ---- " Inmon wrote: > > Hi, are there any hospital based outpt. facilities giving out heel > lifts and billing for them and using an L code?
