Guest guest
Hello Group-- Our hospital system is looking at trialing the use of HH for patients who undergo outpatient procedures such as ACL, RCR, Labral Repair etc... instead of keeping them overnight in the hospital. Most of our physicians do these procedures on an outpatient basis and they begin outpatient therapy right away, however this isn't the case with all of our physicians. They are asking for us to have nursing see the patient the evening of surgery either at their homes or in a hotel if live outside of our service area and then having both nursing and PT see the patient the next morning and another therapy visit the second day post-op. Has anyone had any experience with this type of a process and if so did insurance reimburse for these services. The age range for most of these patients will be 15-45 and only a small percentage Medicare. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Tara Shank Bellin Hospital
