Guest guest Posted June 23, 2011 Report Share Posted June 23, 2011 **Legislative Update* AB 783 **An electronic memo produced by the **California Physical Therapy Association* <http://www.ccapta.org/> ------------------------------ *AB 783 (Hayashi) Professional Corporations: Physical Therapists Set for Hearing Monday, June 27th *Upon the request of the Chair and Vice Chair of the Senate Business and Professions Committee CPTA leadership attended meetings with Assembly Member Hayashi and the sponsors of AB 783 to discuss the bill. In that discussion, the proponents of AB 783 expressed their unwillingness to work with CPTA in a manner that would address our concerns. CPTA remains STRONGLY opposed to AB 783 and urges CPTA members to join the fight against the bill when it is brought to the Senate Business and Professions Committee for a third time on Monday, June 27th. *AB 783* is scheduled to be heard in the Senate Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee on *Monday, June 27th at 1:00 p.m. in Room 3191.* Testimony will not be provided. The bill will be heard for a vote only. *Calling all local physical therapists, patients and friends!* We need YOU to join us at the California State Legislature on Monday, June 27th at 1:00 p.m. to show your opposition to this bill.
