Guest guest
In the same line..what about a staff member who wants to provide massage to our patients and their own " clients " in my office space in the evenings and weekends? I think the liability issue is still present. How do other clinics who also offer massage or personal training after hours? Any info could be useful as everyone is trying to make that extra buck. Thanks. Guest guest
It's clear to me that you have enterprising members on your team, and it should be applauded and you should encourage them to continue to create new opportunities. Unfortunately, this arrangement seems to be at your expense. If the employees have " recruited " these new client's from your current patient roster, as a business owner I would see it as an opportunity to develop new marketable programs for the clinic to extend our service lines. I would also create an incentive structure to ensure that the employee is rewarded for this new idea and spur others to think the same. In California the risk of allowing my employee to create a private venture in the same place they work for me would create potential HR challenges that could haunt me in the future should my relationship with the employee sower. Guest guest
Why don't you do the massage yourselves. That's direct access. The same for the personal training. We're the musculoskeletal specialists. We should be doing this.
