Dr R

YES Yes yes.... count me in on the law suit. I take this matter very

dear to heart. The insurance company have made me fight for treatment

that is medically necessary -this is not fair. Furthermore, I feel for

the many people who are denied and do not have the ability or resources

to appeal and fight back.

Please let your friend know anything about me, and he is welcome to

contact me anytime. I am not sure what I can do, just let me know.

I haven't heard my insurance company's response yet (I doubt there is one at

this point), but you can include my name, too.

Cara,

I have NC BC/BS Teacher's Major Medical. They had no problem approving my

surgery. Matter of fact, it was approved before I even knew it had been

filed. I don't think it took longer than three weeks. I saw Dr. Rutledge on

Jan. 31 and received a call on Feb. 22 that it was approved. I was truly

blessed!!

From Pat Eppler:

My insurance company, Heritage Health Plans, gave me the same answer when I

talked with them Friday--that they had to run their plans by the Insurance

Board in Texas and therefore felt that they were legal in all aspects. I am

ready to join any group ready to try to remedy this unfair descrimination.
