Wow...well, it's a start! Big dose of Prednisone!

But that ought to jumpstart you in the right

direction...or it had better!

More nerve conduction tests...I'll say " OUCH! "

So, now we wait for 12 March!

Relax now, Ed...you deserve a great, big, luscious bar

of chocolate!

I hope remembers to bring me some (chocolate). The tests today

were really out there. They even ran the electrodes from my neck!

Needless to say I did quite a bit of jumping around. I expect I'll

be pretty messed up the next few days.

I remember an EMG done up into my neck to the base of

my skull...golly, did I get sick to my stomach!! Do

you have any bruises at the sites of the needles?? I

did! What an icky test, but it does give lots of good

information.

What do you mean... " referring you out " ? Never heard that term before, Ed.

Annette

I'm Joining The Pred Parade!!

Another day of not doing too well. Saw the Neurologist again today

and had more nerve conduction tests done. Some from the neck too.

*OUCH* Still no diagnosis. From all the tests we still can't rule out

MS. Tomorrow I start on 100mg of Prednisone for 10 days to be

followed by 40mg for four days. We'll see if the pred does anything

for my strength. On the 12th of March I see the Neurologist and the

Rheumatologist again. There is talk of referring me out.

The neuro today mentioned referring me to Bethesda Naval Hospital in

DC. It's one of the big ones where the President gets seen and

such. I'm just wondering how they'll get me there.

Ed,

Sorry to hear that you are joining the Pred parade but maybe it will

give you some relief from the pain. Also, Pred tastes really good

with Nestle Crunch bars (small bite sizes) right out of the freezer.

That always brings a smile to my face.

Ed... wow, they really must be baffled by all this if they are willing

to send you to Bethesda Naval Hospital in DC. Isn't that where Lynn

lives????? You have to know I'm going to laugh if they send you there

and it turns out to be PM... I won't be laughing at you.... just your

doctors!

Waht's this??? I'm reading my mail backwards! Yes, I

live near Bethesda...when the boys were little, i

practically lived there! NIH is right across the

street...docs told me this is the place to be if

you're going to have a peculiar disease, cause they

walk across to NIH and consult all the time!

Morning ...I live in Dale City, Virginia...23

miles south of Washington DC...about an hour's drive

from Bethesda. I live 5 minutes away from the famous

Potomac Mills Mall. For military landmarks, I'm

closest to Quantico Marine Base and Fort Belvoir...I

work at Naval Sea Systems Command...Ed probably knows

it! We build ships! Big whoop, eh?
