Guest guest
Here’s the 3 major ones with which I am familiar: The 3rd one is only for nurses. Wound Care Certification: WCC: Wound Care Certified-available for all healthcare professionals from the National Alliance of Wound Care www.nawccb.org CWS: Certified Wound Specialist-available for all healthcare professionals from the American Academy of Wound Management www.aawm.org CWOCN and CWCN: Certified Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurse and Certified Wound Nurse-available for RNs with minimum of Bachelor’s degree from the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Certification board www.wocnb.org I recommend getting a WCC—but admit I’m biased as I have it and am on the Board of Directors of the NAWC. The WCEI (Wound Care Education Institute) provides courses to prepare you to sit for the exam.
