K-levels & Functional Ability Rating

Hi-

A physician asked one of our PTs about a K-level rating for a low back

pain patient. The PT was unfamiliar with this term; her Google search

led her to a Medicare website that related K-levels to amputee patients

and prosthetics. My Google search had identical results.

Are K-levels solely related to amputee patients?
