Guest guest
Hello, Junior Yes, It is very accurate. All meters have to pass certain standards with the FDA. This meter, like all others, passes those recommendations. All meters havea about a 10% variability. Prodigy talking meter Now not knowing a lot about gluco meters yet a question please. I have the Prodigy talking gluco meter brand new out of the box. It is about the size of a pack of cigaretts. Is this meter fairly accurate? I will be taking it to work with me. That way I can check my blood sugar at work. I appreciate your comments. Junior Lolley kg4itd Liberty County E. Guest guest
, thanks for the info. One more question that I just thought of. On the strips that go into the meter I know the squared End goes in the meter. Blood goes on the rounded end. I can't figure out how to tell which side of the strip is the correct side to put the blood. Is there a way to tell? Junior Lolley kg4itd Liberty County E. C. Guest guest
The strip has one end that is thinner than the other. That end goes up in the meter. It will play music. If it does not play the music, then the strip is not in correctly! Sometimes even if it is in ritht, the music does not play. When that happens, you just jiggggle the strip a bit and it will work, but usually if it does not paly, it is because it is not in correctly. Good luck! Guest guest
We all have slightly different ways of describing the way the strip is inserted. Here's my description of how to tell which end/side of the strip to insert: Simply it's the smallest end, and you have already indicated you know which end is kind of rounded, which is the end that protrudes out from the meter and where you touch your finger to. To tell which way is up for the strips, just feel for a slight ridge or bump, and that faces up. Pat probably had the most sure-fire way to tell though, if it plays music, you've got it in right!
