" He said first he had turned his lights on, walked into his office and found one of the robbers in here prying open a filing cabinet, " Vickie Hibbs said. She tells WSAZ.com her husband found one of the burglars prying open the filing cabinets, using a crowbar and hitting it a dumbbell. Hibbs told police he asked the burglar what he was doing when the man ran from the room. " He tackled him, had him on the floor, and got him down in a choke hold, " Vickie Hibbs said. She says another burglar came from the other side of the business and stuck her husband in the eye with an object. He was left with a black eye and some cuts and bruises. Vickie Hibbs says the men cut the telephone lines and yanked out the security system, but what they were looking for is still unclear since they got away with nothing. " We don't keep any kind of drugs, no money, no anything here, " Vickie Hibbs said. " I don't know what they were looking for, I honestly don't know. " The two suspects left behind the tools used to break in, and the Hibbs hope any fingerprints found will help nab the suspects. The Hibbs have run the therapy clinic at that location for 18 years and say they have never had any trouble. They are hoping to recover surveillance video from their security cameras to help identify the suspects. If you have any information about the case, you are asked to call the Logan County State Police detachment. via wsaz.com<http://www.wsaz.com/news/headlines/Physical_Therapy_Business_Break-In_L\ eaves_Owner_with_Black_Eye_134640028.html> The Nation - ‘Nigeria has only 10 occupational therapists’<http://ptmanagerblog.com/the-nation-nigeria-has-only-10-occupational\ -t> Posted about 20 hours ago by [image: _portrait_thumb] Kovacek, PT, DPT, MSA <http://posterous.com/users/1l1oCkDWEWjv> to PTManager<http://ptmanagerblog.com> [image: Like this post]<http://posterous.com/likes/create?post_id=82689689> ‘Nigeria has only 10 occupational therapists’ By Wale Adepoju<http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/author//> 17 hours 26 minutes ago Font size: [image: Decrease font] [image: Enlarge font] •Expert condemns brain drain Nigeria has less than 10 occupational therapists, the Medical Director, Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Yaba, Dr Abdulrahman Lawal, has said. He said the shortage of occupational therapists is a worldwide phenomenon, pointing out that Nigeria is worse because of brain drain. Lawal spoke at the World Occupational Therapy Day (WOTD) and the 2011/ 2012 Matriculation of the Federal School of Occupational Therapy (FSOT), Lagos. Lawal said the institution is the only one in West Africa that has been supplying graduates to hospitals, prisons, among other places. Lawal, a product of the school, noted that some of the students were already doing well in the institutions abroad. " The prospect and potential of occupational therapy is limitless. That is why we want secondary school pupils to take a career in it, " he said. He said the 28 matriculated students were admitted after thorough screening, adding that standards must not be compromised. The idea is for us to have students that we can be proud of, he said. Lawal said awareness is poor on the prospect and potential of the profession. He said when the students finish, they would proceed to the university to further their studies. A member of the Medical Rehabilitation Therapy Board of Nigeria (MRTB), Mr Joe Nwegwu, said the Federal Government should do something about lack of occupational therapists in the country. He said too much attention was given to medicine leaving other health professions to suffer. via thenationonlineng.net<http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/health/278\ 69-%E2%80%98nigeria-has-only-10-occupational-therapists%E2%80%99.html> [image: Posterous] <http://posterous.com> Want your own?<http://posterous.com> Change your email settings<http://posterous.com/email_subscriptions/hash/gspsqucxgqviGogjvCufJwAxB\ xkgmH>
