Guest guest
Welcome Lori!! I'm Dana, sahm to Philip, born 9/17/97. Philip still doesn't have much of an appetite. He still nurses MANY times a day. I have stopped worrying about ti as he is gaining weight okay (he's in the 95+ % for weight) and is healthy. I just make sure to offer him solids at regular mealtimes and if he wants to eat, he does, if not, he doesn't. Somedays he eats a ton, others he barely touches anything. As long as he appears to be healthy and gaining weight okay, I say try not to worry. Dana -Mommy to Philip ph 9/17/97 << Hello! My name is Lori and I have one son, 22 months old, who is still nursing. I work outside of the home full time. He mostly nurses at night, but when I am at home he nurses much more often. I do have a concern - he doesn't eat solid food as well as I think he should. He has been sick with the flu, so I think that is adding to my anxiety, but last night he only ate a little bit of supper, and then asked me to go to our favorite nursing chair and asked to nurse. Does anyone else have this situation? Does anyone have suggestions on meals that I should try? When I went on a business trip last fall for a few days my husband said it was unreal the amount of food he ate - so we assume he does get a lot of hunger satisfied through nursing. This made me feel bad too, as I know he should be eating as well as nursing. Thanks, Lori >>
