Guest guest Posted August 15, 2002 Report Share Posted August 15, 2002 For those of you questioning the DTaP shot for your children, please beware that the Institute for Vaccine Safety's thimerosal content chart updated 2/21/02 is misleading. http://www.vaccinesafety.edu/ I have a friend who's pediatrician is telling her the Aventis Pasteur's Tripedia DTaP vaccine is thimerosal free. This chart show it to be " equivalent to thimerosal free with trace amounts of <0.3mcg mercury " . However when you look at their product insert, this is only applicable to a single-dose vial. Not the multi-dose vial most doctors use. The multi-dose contains 25 mcg of mercury! How misleading! Please email them at info@... and ask them to update their chart to reflect this. Thank you!
