Guest guest
Dear List, I received a call from a contract PT that would like to know if she can provide physical therapy to patients at their home and/or office (not under a home health plan) without having a facility and get paid by federal and commercial carriers. Secondly, she asked if she could just use an office space she has available to her as a " facility " address and instead of treating patients there, treat them in their home or office. Any advice you can offer regarding her inquiry is greatly appreciated. Have a great day, D. Guest guest
There is some variation depending on the type of provider but.... Typically, the answer is yes for Medicare. Other insurances depend on the other insurance [if you've seen one policy, you've seen one policy]. Check out www.InHomeRehab.com We've been doing this is a Geriatric Model for over 10 years. Great market for most therapists to consider - especially when getting started in private practice.
