Mine is in Green brook a little town in somerset county on Route 22 betsy >> We're in southern NJ, he works in a little farming town called Buena Boro. Route 40 runs right through it, which is one of the main routes to Atlantic City. Small enough that I don't worry TOO MUCH about him, but busy enough to keep him from getting bored! For the most part his calls involve traffic stops and domestics, but a few major crimes in the past years (like murder & robbery) do keep it from being totally " safe " in my book. This story is one of his funniest calls: one night one of the local horse farms had some steer get loose (they use the cattle in rodeo competitions on Tuesday nights). The Chief, Sergeant, Detective and my hubby are all out on either horses or four-wheelers trying to round them up. They got all but one. About 5 minutes before 11:00 PM, they get a call ... a lady was travelling down the road and the cow was in the middle of the road. She didn't see it till it was too late, and she hit it. But she hit it in such a way that the back end of the cow swings around, busts out the passenger side window, it takes a crap all over her front seat, then it gets up and runs away (the cow was stunned but OK, they caught it the next day ROFLMAO!). This poor lady was absolutely COVERED in fresh cow manure, and DH had to take an accident report! He and his partner were absolutely ROLLING ... the woman had cow dung in her pocketbook even!!! The insurance had to pay for her car to get cleaned, and BOY did she stink LOL! A classic, only in south Jersey will something like THAT ever happen LOL! & Kylie, still nursing at 18 months!
