Guest guest
Kristi, Attachment parenting is a style of parenting that was made popular by & Sears. He is a doc and she is a nurse. They have 8 kids. The basic philosophy is staying attached to your child by breastfeeding, sleeping together, wearing your baby in a sling or carrier, and responding to their needs. Not letting them cry it out. Feeding them on demand, when they are hungry. Just being connected with your child. They have a book called the Baby Book. It is my bible. I just got another book of theirs called the Discipline Book and it is great. Has a lot of stuff about how to avoid trouble with toddlers. It is just a continuation of the same parenting style of the other book, but goes farther on in age. I think that my kids have really benefited from this style of parenting. I also homeschool. Just couldn't send my babies off. I think being a single mother and having to work that this style of parenting could really benefit you. It would make it easier for your baby to deal with you leaving and for you too. It sounds like you already are practicing a lot of this style. Wendi Re: did you guys get this one? More on Paige's Doctor visit From: Klh78@... I have a question... what exactly is attached parenting? I have heard lots of you talk about it and I have never heard of it before. Also, ... I hardly ever feel let-down either. But sometimes I wonder if it is because your breasts don't get totally empty when the baby nurses on them. I wouldn't really worry about it though.. it seems like there are a lot of people who don't feel the let-down.
