Billing Services - Is it normal to pass on the cost of a software upgrade

Hi Group,

I outsource my billing to a billing service. That service is currently going

through a software upgrade. The benefits of the upgrade seem minimal to me

although it will include ICD-10 updates. The cost of this (almost $1500) the

billing service is wanting to pass fully through to my PT clinic. Is this a

normal / standard cost to pass on to a clinic? We currently pay 6% of collected

insurance revenues to the billing service and 2% of copays. Your thoughts?
