Group,

I was reviewing the CMS sight for CCI edits. It appears to me that 97110 (ther

ex) can no longer be billed with 97140 (man therapy) or 97018 (parafin bath).

Is this new?

Matt,

It appears to me that this exclusion was deleted, and no longer applicable.

Matt,

The 97110 and 97140 edit was deleted on 4.1.1999 and the 97110 and 97018 edit

was deleted on 1.1.1996, so neither remains in effect.

I just went through all of the 2012 Q1 Column1/Column2 and Mutually Exclusive

edits and removed all of the deleted codes and all of the codes that don't apply

to the typical 92xxx codes that SLP typically bills and the 97xxx codes that PT

and OT typically bills. If anyone would like that spreadsheet send me your

email address and I'll send it to you.

If you direct mail the spreadsheet to me, I will post it on the PTManagerBlog

for anyone to download.

Since the PTManager list does not allow attachments, you might find that less

disruptive than getting 3000 requests for a file.

Thanks for offering this - it is a great resource

Mark and ,

Thank you for this resource. It will be helpful for all. Question remains:

why are these edits still listed on the CMS website?
