Guest guest
We issue as part of the treatment , but if they return ( they often do ) months down the line we charge by the yard. We make this clear when they are being treated. We do not " mark up " but do cover our costs Ron Barbato PT rbarbato@... Charging patients for tubing/bands Hello all - I'll be opening a private practice in Apirl (hooray!!) and I was wondering if anyone has a policy for charging patients for tubing/bands in your clinic. Do you see it just as a cost of doing business and something you just have to " eat " the cost on? Do you provide the first one free and then charge for subsequent ones? If you charge, what do you charge and how has this been received by patients? Thank you in advance for your replies. Guest guest
I choose not to charge for tubing / bands and believe the goodwill is recognized by patients. As a form of marketing it may be more efficacious than many others. For a few hundred bucks a year the cost is not that great relative to ads, signs, and so forth. Only you can determine the return on investment. Kai Pedersen PT South Mountain Physical Therapy, LLC Wernersville, PA
