Guest guest
Today I witnessed something awful......I saw a young boy being hit by a car as I was taking to nursery. It really shook me up. The boy just ran straight in front of a car coming the other way. The car was going fairly slowly (thank goodness) as it had just stopped for a crossing. The driver (whom coincidentally I know and have spoken to) could do nothing, as the boy just ran straight out without looking. I was so shaken up, I burst into tears as I got to nursery with . I rang the police to say I was a witness and fortunately the boy only had a broken arm. He was very lucky and the policeman said he thought he had just learned a very valuable lesson. I felt so sorry for the driver. He was very shaken up as you can imagine and has a broken windscreen and a dent in the bonnet. I have been replaying the scene over and over again in my mind and has had a big lecture on crossing the road. All I keep thinking was that if the other driver hadn't hit the boy then I would have done as I was passing at the same point at the same time. Thanks for listening, just had to get that off my chest. -- Mum to (aged 4, born a whopping 11lbs 6oz) and 2 angels 20/10/98 and 24/3/00 Farnborough, Hants

Guest guest
by the way, if you are wondering why I went to nursery, I did stop to check that someone was calling the ambulance and they were. i had and was kind of in shock and decided it was best to get to nursery as i knew an ambulance was coming and I didn't want to create a crowd as other people were stopping too. > Today I witnessed something awful......I saw a young boy being hit by a car > as I was taking to nursery.
