Guest guest
Well my little guy had the surgery on Wed is doing great. They did give him some gas so he would not move during the procedure. It was not enough to put him to sleep. As soon as it was done they brought him to me in recovery and I nursed him. I could tell some difference then. We still have a major crack on 1 side that is trying to heal. Every day his latch is getting better. The day of surgery he was not allowed to nurse after 3am. I was going to feed him whenever he wanted till we got to the hosp. He got up at 2am and I fed him till 3am and he slept till I had to put on his gown at the hosp. He did not even fuss for food till about 10 min before they took him to the OR. I hope this solves our problems. Thanks for all the help!!!! Sherry SAHM to (8), (4), Kaitlyn (2), and baby born 12/17/98. *Breast fed is best fed*

Guest guest
No problem , He was tongue tied. The membrane that attaches your tongue to the bottom of his mouth was not normal. It went almost to the tip of his tongue. When it is like that they have a hard time getting enough of the areola in their mouth. I have had 2 really deep cracks and battled thrush (from the open cracks) for 8 weeks now. I hope this is it. I am ready to enjoy my baby and not cry during every feeding.
