Guest guest
A number of medical studies describe immune-weakened individuals who develop post-MMR measles, post-VZV-vaccination chickenpox. The appearance of those diseases is often considered a sign of an underlying immune weakness. Look at the article: Immunization Of The Immunocompromised Host The article is available as a pdf at: http://www.primaryimmune.org/library/clinical/CFOct98.PDF Be careful with lingering VZV, which can migrate into the CNS and do so intraneuronally. Usually, VZV establishes long-term residence within the trigeminal nerve, however, in some individual cases, VZV can migrate more deeply into the CNS. Most -- but not all -- strains of VZV are responsive to acyclovir. The bigger issue is your child's possible immune impairment (for whatever reason or reasons) whereby the VZV-vaccination is now followed by chickenpox. cwells1318@...
