Actual Documentation time requirements

I am interested in knowing what other managers / directors of inatient acute

units with inpatient Rehab Units and utilizing electronic documentation

systems, are supporting as reasonable daily time allotment (in terms of

hours/day/individual) for staff documentation of new evals, progress notes, and

DME letters of justification, certs, recerts, etc. Also, which system are you

using?

As we make plans to further improve productivity, we see reducing documentation

time as one of the possible " low hanging fruit " options........
