Guest guest
This is going to sound odd, but my gray hair is coming back as my natural color (I am brown/red)...people keep complimenting me on my color job, but I'm nursing, I won't color my hair. (Even my husband noticed) I did up my B12 a lot, along with folate and my iron...I wonder what was causing this. (as I am going to be 40 next Sept! and was thinking, how great is this?) although, I think I have read that it's related to the zinc and copper concentrations. I want to say it's low copper/high zinc. That being said, my brother Rob(26) who is deficient in B12 has graying (not uncommon from a genetic standpoint)-- but he has thyroid issues too (which caused a small patch of missing hair) So, it might be concentrations of copper/zinc and then the ratio issue, or it could be a thyroid issue. laura > > Hi all, > My son who is 4.5 ASD has about 10-15 scattered gray hairs on his head. He has dark brown hair so you really see them. I read of a connection to Vitiligo, which is autoimmune. Does anyone know anything about this? Guest guest
Thanks for responding . It might be a copper deficiency my son is on the max amount of zinc to control his chewing and mouthing objects - which gets out of control when he's not on it. He had his thyroid checked and it was fine at the time. I'm going to increase my supps too, maybe you found a cure for gray hair! I'm only 31 and all this stress has caused me to go prematurely gray as well. > > > > Hi all, > > My son who is 4.5 ASD has about 10-15 scattered gray hairs on his head. Guest guest
I found a GFCF snack yesterday, it is Flax Crackers... very few ingredients, all organic, and it has a higher copper to zinc ratio. The flavor I got has tomato garlic and onion, but there are other flavors... anyway, " natural " way to increase your copper levels if you don't want to take another pill. I believe pumpkin seeds are higher in zinc. I have been snacking on both this past 24 hrs, apparently my minerals are low LOL  are you using methyl b12 shots?new beginnings has a product called methyl mate and the latest invention is a version that gets in the nerves of the top of the tongue and it is very effective. there are a couple of other mineral def that will cause grey hair. sulfur and coper.                                                                                      To: " mb12 valtrex " <mb12 valtrex > Sent: Tue, January 4, 2011 9:52:00 AMSubject: Re: Premature gray hair?  Folic DeficiencySent from my iPhone  Hi all, My son who is 4.5 ASD has about 10-15 scattered gray hairs on his head. Guest guest
Yes we are doing mb12 injections for 2 years, and also have been taking Methyl Folate for about 4 months b/c he has the MTHFR genes. We did glutathione for a while which has sulfer, and it really woke him up, gave a lot of energy. We stopped b/c we're doing AC chelation now and heard that glutathione is not recommeded for mercury toxic kids when chelating. Have to find a better way to get sulfer in him. > > > > >Hi all, > >My son who is 4.5 ASD has about 10-15 scattered gray hairs on his head. He has > >dark brown hair so you really see them. Guest guest
How about epsom baths? Cheap and easy sulfur donor. Guest guest
I remember reading once that low B12 can also cause premature greying. I have learned that there are usually several causes to any condition. Love and prayers, Heidi N
