He is 3 and a half and a big chap (rugby player type - no idea what weight though). He wasn't changed until 9am this morning and not one bit had leaked out of the Weenees - and believe me the pampers usually make his pyjama waistband and legs wet by 8am. They work out about the same price as Pampers. Caroline

Guest guest
Sorry but more explanation needed here! When you talk about pads, are they like sanitary pads? Do they just lie on the nappy or how do they stay in place? I assume a wrap is like a pair of waterproof pants? Or is it a tie on cover? Lesley ------------ said.........Gosh Hannah that's far too much work for me. Now here's what I do. I use a mixture of Bumpkins & Kooshies got about 30 in all. Each nappy has three kooshies pads in it plus a nappy liner, then I put a kooshies wrap over the top.

Guest guest
<snip> Sorry but more explanation needed here! When you talk about pads, are they like sanitary pads? Do they just lie on the nappy or how do they stay in place? I assume a wrap is like a pair of waterproof pants? Or is it a tie on cover? <snip> Ok the pads are sold by Kooshies, they are made of a few layers of cotton sewn together, look at bit like a panty liner but are not disposable. The wraps are Kooshies also the wrap around the nappy and close at the front with Velcro look just like a disposable a bit. <snip> " Hannah Hamer " Subject: Washable nappies (warning graphic poo/wee descriptions - don't read if eating/easily disturbed ;o) ) But what do you do if you need to do other washing? Doesn't that tie up the washing machine all day? I must admit I'm too lazy to bother with disposable liners - If the nappy contents are solid enough I shake them into the toilet - I never dunk and swish in the toilet (yuk, yuk, yuk!!) If it's too <snip> Yes it does tie up the washing machine all day, but I only do our washing at weekends unless something is urgent. I never dunk the nappy in the toilet, that's the whole point in using a nappy liner so you don't need to. HTH Tupman
Guest guest
Yep we do have a bit of a clothes thing going in this house, I've got two double wardrobes squashed full, DH has one squashed full, the boy have one each and DS3 well his got tonnes of them every time I go to a NNS I keep buy all this stuff!! Just can't resist it. Tupman --------------- I've got you now, .........what you're trying to say is that you don't do *any* washing. You buy stuff at NNS's and throw it away when its dirty! Very clever and of course saves a lot of wear and tear on the washing machine. Excellent idea! Lesley
