Sounds like you are preparing for the new reimbursement model which will very

shortly be implemented by most insurers in the US.

Subject: Hospital Therapists/Assistants Productivity Measures

Hello,

We in our hospital system are considering changing our productivity measure

system from units of service billed to patients seen. For those who have acute

care inpatient staff who measure productivity by patients seen, would you share

what your targets are for an 8-hour day for OT, COTA, PT, PTA, SLP?

I see pros and cons to switching; if you have opinions on the matter, I would

appreciate reading them.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to consider and respond.

Steve Vanderkamp, MPT, MPA
