Thats the medicare code you can use but ive always been told that 97014 is the

better code to send to medicare.

Some Medicare Intermediaries will not accept the 97014 code, they must

have G0283 for payment purpose, the reimbursement is the same under both

codes. Both codes based on the AMC CPT-4 book is a non-timed code, only

1 unit allowed to bill, this is due to the fact no face to face

encounter needed for the entire treatment time.

Actually, no Medicare contractor accepts 97014 since April 1, 2003. All

unattended electrical stimulation for other than wound care must be billed under

G0283.
