Guest guest
Good observation! You might just be right! Dave God doesn't hate sinners, just sin! Re: new oral insulin I think this article is suspect. They indicate that it could be beneficial to Type 1's and 2, but researching the pharmaceutical website, it is geared to those with pre-diabetic conditions, and glucose intolerance, perhaps meaning resistance? which are type 2s of course. In the case of Type 1s, diabetes is not typically about insulin resistance. *quote from Generex website* We are looking forward to conducting this trial and await the results with great interest, " said Prof. Paolo Pozzilli of University Campus Bio-Medico. " While it is not yet known whether the treatment of IGT (Impaired Glucose Tolerance) can delay or prevent diabetes or associated diseases such as cardiovascular disease, the delay of onset for high risk people will itself provide benefit in terms of morbidity and complications associated with the disease. We look forward to determining if the introduction of Generex Oral-lyn, as a non-injectable alternative, in the pre-diabetes state can play a role in empowering people to control daily glucose levels. " *end quote I'd like to ask them non-injectable alternative to what? In the pre-diabetes state, patients are typically not on meds or insulin. And besides, pills such as metformin are already non-injectable oral medications... aren't they? How is this oral insulin taken by mouth different? Those on insulin are not the same people as those with pre-diabetes. Also, when I googled about these supposed drug trials, one should find references to trials as these trials are in stage 3, and must have been around for a while. I could not find any reference to trials that are underway, even in the recent past. All results are from the Generex website, or pharmalive website, which is clearly a Generex website as well. I guess all I'm saying is before one jumps on this bandwagon, to proceed cautiously, and, in fact, if you can, refrain from proceeding at all.
