Guest guest
jen, could you tell me who did the training with you to educate you on how to use the pump and what to do. the education center who will train me say i am a first totally blind person to use the pump in our fair town and would like to know so they can share information and get me going. many thanks karen hughes in ontario RE: for those with pumps. Hi , I'm in BC, and unfortunately BC does not cover pumps but they do cover 100% of pump supplies (cartridges/reservoirs, tubing and infusion sets), the only things they don't cover are alcohol swabs and any extra tape or adhesive you might need. If you can get the initial cost of the pump covered through other benefits or by a service club, the coverage for supplies is very good and I have never had a problem getting mine covered; it's covered in the same way as test strips, you just go order them through your pharmacy.
