Guest guest
We were told it was a compliance issue – patients should have choice in the selection of vendor and if you provide your own, it looks like you are funneling business inappropriately – that’s how our hospital defines it. Sent: Wednesday, June 27, 2012 5:47 PM To: PTManager Subject: DME info Is there a prohibition against hospitals providing and billing for DME? I have reviewed the information from APTA and it appears possible to do this, but in places I have practiced, it has not been done. I understand that you do need a DME license. It looks like a mess to keep track of and meet the requirements, but is there another reason or proscription that I am not understanding? Thanks.
